The main purpose of this blog is to share my knowledge, experiences and insights in the areas of disaster management, and intergovernmental affairs (the interplay between levels of governments and the private and non-profit sectors.)
I’m a retired public servant of over 4 decades in local and mostly the federal government. Once a year, I teach disaster management at the University of the District of Columbia. The “Brassville” reference is the name of my old neighborhood where i was born, raised, and educated. I uprooted and spent my mid-twenties at the University of New Orleans and at St Bernard Parish (county), Louisiana where I studied Public Administration and worked as an administrator and planner.
